Welcome to the FAQ page for WiseMind Therapy, where I offer trauma-informed therapy for teens (15+), adults, and professionals. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about therapy services, insurance, DBT, EMDR, and Walk & Talk Therapy.

What issues do you treat at WiseMind Therapy?

I specialize in helping clients navigate:

  • Emotional dysregulation and intense emotions

  • Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and other personality disorders

  • PTSD and complex trauma

  • Anxiety, burnout, and perfectionism in professionals

  • Relationship struggles, boundaries, and identity issues

I provide therapy for teens (15+), adults, couples, and families—both in person in Keller, TX and virtually anywhere in Texas.

What therapy approaches do you use?

My work is grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including:

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Ideal for emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills.
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A research-backed method to process trauma, reduce anxiety, and unlock emotional healing.
I also integrate somatic strategies, attachment-based therapy, and parts work to tailor care to your unique needs.

Where do sessions take place?

Therapy sessions are available in two formats:

In-Person Therapy in Keller, TX: Sessions take place in my private, calming office space. Or on the trails though the scenic parks in Keller.
Online Therapy Across Texas: Secure video therapy for teens and adults located anywhere in the state of Texas.

What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

Not sure about sitting on the therapy couch? Let’s take therapy outdoors.

I offer Walk and Talk Therapy in Keller, TX—a unique, evidence-supported option where we meet on beautiful trails just steps from my office. This form of therapy blends clinical conversation with the calming effects of movement and nature.

Benefits of Walk & Talk Therapy:

  • Reduces anxiety through physical movement

  • Promotes natural, less intense conversation

  • Great for high-achievers or emotionally overwhelmed clients

  • Ideal for those who feel “stuck” indoors

This is still therapy—just with fresh air and more freedom.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time. I am working on becoming paneled with Aetna.

I’m also an out-of-network therapist in Texas. I can provide monthly superbills to submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement, depending on your plan.
